These terms cover your use of Before the Timer. "We" and "us" mean the operator of Before the Timer. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What this site is, and is not

• It is a free, independent guide to competition equipment rules. It is not the official rules, not legal advice, and not gunsmithing advice.
• Results describe USPSA and IDPA division equipment rules only. They say nothing about whether a firearm or a modification is lawful where you live.
• We are not affiliated with or endorsed by USPSA, IDPA, or any manufacturer. Match officials make the final call on equipment. Check the official rulebooks before you buy parts or show up to a match.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for following all federal, state, and local firearm laws. The site is meant for people 18 or older.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any promise that the information is accurate, complete, current, or right for a particular purpose. Rulebooks change, and errors can happen.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damages that come from using or relying on the site. Our total liability to you for anything related to the site is limited to the greater of $0 or the amount you paid to use it, which is nothing.

Information you share

If you use "Share this to help other shooters," you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, store, modify, publish, and display what you share as part of the site and its catalog. You confirm it is factual information you have the right to share. We may review, edit, or reject anything shared. See the privacy page for what is collected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
